Is this is because of abortion? what should i do?

Answer
Hello, Shan,

Any time you take any kind of hormones, it is going to change your hormonal balance. Each woman is an individual and will respond in a different way.

Here is a page on Duphaston:

The fact that you are not reacting as expected may mean you just have to wait for your body to settle down and do what it is supposed to do. Always be vigilant for possible pregnancy. If you get a negative test, take another in a week.

Abortion can also change a woman's hormonal balance, although since you had an abortion because your baby's growth had stopped, it might not be as pronounced as if everything had been fine. For future reference, any time they tell you that your baby's growth has stopped, get a second opinion. Find another doctor and have him examine you and see if he agrees.

It's been almost a year since you had your abortion. It doesn't seem likely that it would be the reason for your present situation.

You need to rule out tubal pregnancy. This will often cause pain on one side. You need to be checked out as soon as possible, because this can be a life-threatening condition.

I recommend you find a different doctor. I'm not happy with the way the one you have now has been so quick to do something to you: first an abortion, and then a powerful hormone. See if you can find one who believes in doing as little as possible. It is safer for you if the doctor isn't so quick to do something drastic. But you need to do this immediately, today or tomorrow. Don't wait. If you have pain which suddenly stops, you could need surgery immediately. So please go to the doctor.

Let me know how things turn out. Take care.
