Questionmy son is 13yrs old and he has been saying when he stands up sometimes he becomes dizzie and sometimes they are worse than other times, this does not happen all the time. this only happens when he gets up, not if he has been walking around
Answerthat sounds like "orthostatic hypotension" meaning the body plays catch up when he gets up and the pooling blood has to re-circulate.... that is a harmless condition in general, but given those symptoms, there are a lot of possible problems (very unlikely, but possible) especially hormonal problems, like sugar problems, thyroid problems and blood pressure problems. It is worth a doctor evaluation to check his blood counts and his sugar and some other hormone tests like thyroid, cortisol, blood sugar, hemoglobin, just to make sure he is OK
