Persistent Breakthrough Bleeding on Seasonale: Causes & Solutions
QuestionI have been taking Seasonale for 2 1/2 years and never had any problems with breakthrough bleeding until this past March. This has continued since then (with the exception of 2 weeks, it is now July). I took a urine test and found out that I had a bladder infection (Strep A and Strep B and a couple of other bacterias). The Dr. felt that this was probably the cause of the bleeding. I have now finished all of the antibiotics and am still experiencing bleeding. I often have lower stomach pain or low back pain and then the bleeding will begin (it is often only a little bit of blood and then it stops). I have also noticed blood in my urine, but i can't tell where it is coming from. I am very frustrated, what are some of the things that could be causing this bleeding for such a long period of time? Is it likely just break through bleeding and should I be concerned and schedule a dr.'s appointment?
AnswerC.D.
you indeed need to see your doctor again. the pain you have in the lower back and lower stomach area is a concern to me.
i hope you have told your doctor about that pain.
now i would suggest getting an ultra-sound,of your lower abdomen, you could have a cyst.
sometime you have to put your foot down firm when speaking to your doctor. tell him you need some answers here.
