Post-Lipoma Removal Pain & Fluid Collection: What to Expect

Question
I'm a 23 year old female who had surgery 3 weeks ago for an egg sized lipoma in my right abdomen almost on the belt line. I'm still having quite a bit of pain.  My surgeon told me I had a lot of fluid around my incision and drained it, but it still hurts quite a bit. I'm supposed to go back every week to have this drained, but for how long? What is this called and how did I get it? Is there something I can be doing to fix this problem and make it go away faster? Why did I get a lipoma and am I going to have more?

Answer
in our practice lipomas come from seeds, nuts, flax, soy, granola, trail mix, avocado, hummus and poultry which all contain excess omega 6 plant oils which increase inflammation.
the fluid collection is needing a penrose drain inserted and covered with a sterile bandage
