QuestionI watched this show on the learning channel the other day and O M G! The main woman for this show SOUNDS LIKE A MAN. SHE HAS A MALE VOICE. It was about female body building. Being 100 lbs overweight I thought I would watch but O M G, these women look and sound like men. It is disgusting. What do they take that they look and sound like this? This is gross!

I am not sure exactly what you saw, and I'm certain I want to, given your reaction, but...
You are describing the most common symptoms of anabolic steroid use. There are significant "masculinizing" effects on women who use them, and feminizing effects on the males who regularly use anabolic steroids.
Anabolic steroid use is at an all time high and continues to rise, for men and women. Up to 50 of high school male athletes have used, or currently use anabolic agents. I teach a clinical sciences class at a university near my home and we discussed this topic recently. We had a few students make attempts to obtain anabolic agents online, and every one of them reported that they would have easily been able to buy them.
The compelling, and attractive issue about anabolic steroids is that they work. They make athletes bigger and stronger, and they do it quickly.
Unfortunately most people tend to ignore the potential side effects, such as you described.
