QuestionI am a 35 year old woman. Up to the age of 32 I always had infrequent periods. I then met my husband & went on the pill and I became "normal" and had my period like clock-work every 28 days. However I am now off the pill (in the hope of getting pregnant) a year and while at the start my period did come after about 30 day I now have not had one since last July.
At 35 the ticking sounds I'm hearing are getting louder. Is it possible to regularise my cycle by any means other than the contraceptive pill that will allow me to ovulate and have a fighting chance of getting pregnant.
I know I will have to go see my own doctor but I just want to go armed with some information on this subject.
AnswerYes, but it is not simple.
Ask your doctor but this is what I use for my patients:
1) Fish oil 3000mg (900 mg EPA/DHA) just before each meal and at bedtime. With your specific problem, you may want to start with one cap before meals and at bedtime taken with at least 2 spoonsful of Stonyfield yogurt from the freezer to stop bloating and burping of fish gas; then increase by a capsule per dose each week for a month then report back how you are doing.
2) High Potency B complex, (B-100) just before each meal
3) Magnesium oxide 250 mg taken just before each meal and at bedtime
4) Calcium carbonate with Vit D at dinner and bedtime but must be on the item 2) to prevent stones
5) Vit C 500 mg just before each meal
6) Vit E 400 IU twice a day at breakfast and dinner
7) Cinnamon 1/4 tsp in food or 2x500mg caps just before each meal if over weight, diabetic, have a cholesterol problem, hypoglycemia, polycystic ovarian syndrome, metabolic syndrome or low energy.
