Testicle Injury & Ultrasound Results: Seeking Expert Advice
QuestionHi im a 24 year old male who recently suffered from a testicle injury playing hockey the injury occurred 2 weeks ago, I've been to 4 different doctors and had a ultrasound, the ultrasound revealed a contusion on the right testicle and probable haematoma, I have this sharp throbbing pain thats quite painful when it happens, it seems this happens when the testicle shifts, is this normal especially being 2 weeks after the injury or could the ultrasound have miss - diagnosed me, should I seek a urologist appointment, thank you I look forward to your reply
AnswerThe ultrasound is done to make sure that the testicle hasn't twisted and cut off blood supply.. it is quite a tender area, so I expect it to be sore for a few weeks. Whatever the injury, at this point, there isn't much to do except to wait... any severe injury is not going to require surgery a few weeks out. Good thing we have two of those... so there wouldn't be a chance of infertility even if it were damaged severely...
