Understanding Absent Ovary, Ovarian Cysts & Uterine Fibroids: A Medical Explanation

Question
DEAR SIR
i'VE RECENTLY HAD A PELVIC EXAM FOR ENLARGED UTERUS, AND A TRANSVAGINAL US. PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO INTERPRET THE FINDINGS, I HAVE AN OVARIAN CYST, AND AN ABSENT RIGHT OVARY, ALSO AN INTRAMUAL LEIOMYOMA INVOLVING THE UTERUS, I'VE HAD CONSIDERABL DISCOMFORT, WHAT HAPPENED TO MY OTHER OVARY THAT IT COULD NOT BE SEEN EITHER WITH PELVIC OR VAG US, THANK YOU

Answer
ultrasounds are notoriously unreliable to relate findings to clinical presentations.... leiomyoma means a lump in the uterus.... a muscle lump.    ovarian cysts come and go monthly  so are a non-finding.  I assume you had the other ovary removed or it is trapped behind the uterus....
