Questiona few years ago I had a tummy tuck. All went well. The horizontal scar healed fine but the area around the scar has no feeling. I was informed this was possible. However for the past few days, out of the blue, it is itching internally, like the tissue underneath the scar is itching, and since that area has no feeling, scratching it is pointless. It is keeping me up at night! Should I see my doctor, or is there anything I can do? Thanks.
Answerinteresting symptoms.... I am not sure what the cause is... look for redness or fever.... There are some meds that help with nerve symptoms like that, neurontin or lyrica, but I would have someone just peak at it to make sure there isn't any infectious process, otherwise.... I am not sure.... good luck with it...
