Scrotal Lump near Perineum: Causes, Symptoms & When to See a Doctor

Question
Dr. Borucki,  A few days ago I felt a lump where my scrotum meets my leg near my anus.  It is a little painful, and when my wife looked at it she was able to get some sebum to come out like a sebaceous cyst.  There is a small point that the fluid comes out, like a pimple or hair follicle.

Now, no fluid is coming out, but there is a lump within the  tissue and it is still painful.  I have no STDs.  I was wondering if it is a cyst that has just aggravated the tissue to the point of swelling, or if there are any lymph nodes towards the back of the scrotum where the leg connects that I should be concerned about.  The lump is 3/4" long and round like a tube with the pimple at the very end of it.

Answer
this sounds like a simple clogged oil gland... sometimes those have to be drained.... the risk of trying to pop it is it rupturing on the inside and the mildly infected fluid might cause a local infection.... it is worth having the doctor numb it up and drain it properly if it isn't going away.... hope this helps....
