Understanding Low White Blood Cell Count: Causes & What It Means
QuestionGood morning,
I have had two blood test within about 6 weeks apart and the first showed my white cell count was 4.1 and the second showed my white cell count was 3.8 but they said there were no abnornal cells. Why would this occur? what are the possible reasons and could this be hereditary?
Answerheather;
white blood cells-a slightly to moderaterly increased number of white blood cells is often related to an infection or inflammation of body tissues. a marked increase in white blood cells count may be due to a bone marrow disorder,such as leukemia. conversely,a lower-than-normal levels of white blood cells is often associated with an immune disoder. medications such as chemotherapy to treat cancer commonly reduce the white blood cells count.
i suggest talking it over with your doctor,and most likely having some more tests;
sorry i cant do more;
