Low White Blood Cell Count: Causes & What It Means

I am a 26 year old female. I just got some blood work back. Everything is normal, except my white cell count- it's a little low. What are some reasons that could cause this? A day after I had my blood work done I was around a sick baby and caught a cold. Could there have been something in my system before hand that caused these results? What are some other reasons for this low blood count? Thanks for any help you can give.

wbc being low... some people are always a little low, sometimes viral infections can "stun" the bone marrow where the cells are made and it will be low temporarily... as long as someone doesn't get repeated infections, it doesn't carry any medical significance.... hope this helps...
