Persistent Bad Taste & Loss of Appetite: Potential Causes & What to Do

Question
I'm a 25 year old otherwise healthy male, here the past 4 days I've noticed that I've been having a very strange taste in my mouth that will not go away no matter how often I brush my teeth. My appetite is horrible, I force myself to eat once a day, I've lost about 7 pounds. My right side and lower back has been kind of bothering me but not that much, my blood pressure also has been fluctuating alot, my face and ears will get REALLY red and hot and i've had BP readings of 180/115, and it will go back to normal within an hour to like 140/88, and then down to 120/77.  I went to the Dr. and did blood work and urinalysis. Everything came back normal besides slightly elevated serum albumin was 5.4 G/DL, and serum calcium 11.0 MG/DL. My urine output seems like it decreasead alot also, and I can't hardly taste my food that I force myself to eat. I have a history of some irregular heartbeats, PVC's, and NSVT. the non sustained ventricular tachycardia was caught and it was  a 26 beat run. I've had almost every heart test possible besides and EP study, and angiogram. All other tests have showed I have a normal heart. I've been feeling tightness in my chest and more weird heartbeats since this started about 4 days ago with the strange taste and fluctating BP.  What could be causing all this? My lips are really dry now also. I also do drink beer everyday, average 7-8 and sometimes around 12 or more, when this started I have been notcing that the beer taste really weird also.

Answer
taste in mouth makes me think of reflux, or sometimes a chronic low grade sinus infection.   I would also have said get a urinalysis but you have already done so....  I don't have the ability to calculate, but I would disregard the albumin and the calcium I am not sure of.... there is a way to correct the calcium which may appear falsely elevated due to the higher albumin.

If you have any sinus symptoms... get that evaluated.  Also... 7-8 beers per day...  when someone drinks this much for a long time, they get used to it but that is quite a large amount.....

I would be tempted to repeat those studies if the symptoms don't go away over the weekend......

I hope this helps
