QuestionI'm being tested for suspected diabetes insipidus. I've been having headaches, dizziness, fatigue and double vision as well as the unexplained thirst and frequent urination, and the doctors I've seen asked when I last had my eyes checked in case this was the cause of the other symptoms, but when I said 6 months they said it wouldn't be that, but I went again anyway just to be safe.
I've just been told that my left eye is lazy (which it wasn't before) and its probably a problem with the nerves or the muscles controlling my left eye and is sending me off for further tests.
I'm also going to see a cardiologist as I've started getting palpitations and chest pains
All of these Symptoms came on very suddenly together, which to me is quite alarming, but the doctors are moving very slowly and don't seem to be discussing results with each other.
Is there anything that links all of these symptoms, or could I have developed many things at the same time?
AnswerI would start very basic.... check regular blood counts, thyroid, blood sugar and also pursue the hormone workup (for DI and other problems) With the dizziness and double vision, it shows something is wrong, but the list is pretty long, but I would definitely go with the full evaluation.
