High Ferritin Levels: Understanding Causes & What to Do

Dear Robert
some weeks ago I have a check up. today i got the results. my ferritin level is 389 ,about 200 more than maximum.that was the only abnormal result. My doctor said that it is not very important and my body is healthy . although he said i had to do Kidney ultrasound.
But i can't help worrying about my ferritin level. Do you think its serious?

well, the question is whether you have an iron storage disease like hemachromatosis.....   

it could be.... the easy but expensive way is to do an MRI of your liver to look at how much iron is there...   There are some other lab tests... serum iron, TIBC, transferrin levels.
