Questionhi - i had a second c-section 5 weeks ago. about a week ago, after having very little discharge for a few weeks, i've started to get a creamy light brown or pinkish discharge? i've been breastfeeding. is this normal? could i be overdoing it or have pulled something? i also have started to get weird sensations when getting out of bed or when going from sitting to standing that my uterus is "loose" in my abdomen or moves? i feel like i have to hold onto my lower abdomen until this "cramp" subsides everytime I stand up? is it possible to have "messed up" my c-section stitiching by lifting too much? i have a 28lb toddler and haven't been as good about not lifting her recently?
AnswerHey there,
Your body is saying Hey! Slow down! Your doing to much...what you are seeing is the way it tells you.
The lifting, while I know how hard it is to have a toddler running around, you have to really take the lifting easy. If you've been doing a lot of lifting, driving, running around, a lot of stairs etc...it will take longer for you to heal AND feel better.
Try to enlist some help. Try to think of yourself as just having the baby 2 or 3 weeks ago, go back to the careful and cautious routine.
Not taking the time to heal will make it twice as long to get back to feeling normal.
That odd sensation or feeling loose is something many women feel, not just with a c-section. That to in time will feel better, but any pain, sharp or cramping, fever, bright vaginal bleeding make sure to call your doctor or emergency room ok?
Take good care of you :)
Best wishes and congratulations
