C-Section & Diabetes: Risks, Wound Care & What to Expect

Hi,my questions is how normal is for a doctor not to stitch a patient after a c-section and only stapled the patient and removed the staples after two days ?My sis has diabetes and the cut got opened after two hrs of doc removing the staples.now she is sitting at home with a 19 inch long open wound and 3 inchs wide and the doc wont do anything for her..

Seek a second opinion. An open wound in a diabetic is at risk of infection and improper healing.  She should be seen as soon as possible by another trained medical professional to determine the appropriate course of treatment to promote optimal healing and minimize the risk of complications.
