C-Section Pain: What to Expect After Delivery

i have a c-section scheduled the 29th of this month and i have had to kids natural one 9.8lbs and the other 10.9 1/2 then i had miscarriage and now this is my fourth pregnancy but third child and doc said c section would be better do to my 2nd son getting stuck (shoulder distortia) and the fact that ive had big babies i am scared about having c section as i will be awake i was wondering if i would feel any pain or whatever thanks

As long as they can give you spinal anesthesia or an epidural, you won't feel anything.  If you feel anything at all, they won't start the operation.  I think, in your case, that a c-section is definately the  best alternative.  A shoulder dystocia can be a very dangerous situation for both you and the baby.  I think you will find that the surgery isn't as bad as you think.  There is always fear of the unknown!  You will do great and you won't feel pain.  You will feel pressure, tugging, and pulling.  Everything is going to go great.  Good luck and congrats in advance!
