QuestionHI im a little confused, i have a 7 month old who has been solely breast fed,
until i started working last month during which time there were periods in
which i could not feed him the longest being up to eight hours. since than i
have discovered that i had begun getting a discharge nothing to be fussed
about, however my partner and i had a few intimate encounters just over the
christmas period during which time i noticed a egg white discharge. my
question to you is when id seen the discharge does that mean ovulation has
occured or is about to occur im really confused, thanks 4 your time please

AnswerEgg-white cervical mucous is usually a good indicator of fertility and impending ovulation. However, casual observation alone is not enough to pinpoint an ovulation date. If you are concerned about a possible pregnancy, you should be able to take a home test in another week and get a reliable result. In the future, if you are not pregnant, you may want to look into full cycle charting using natural family methods. This will help you anticipate the return of your fertility and avoid an unplanned or undated pregnancy. You can find free online charting tools and advice at www.fertilityfriend.com.
