Understanding Fertility Concerns: A Teenager's Question

Question
Ok, so here goes, I'm a seventeen year old girl and I think I may not be able to have children, It hadn't crossed my mind until one of my friends said something. here's the thing I'm not pregnant, not that I have tried or anything, but me and my boyfriend when we lived together for five months probably had sex at least twice a day almost everyday and we never once not ever used any sort of protection and we still don't and I know that last month he did not pull out on time a couple times, and yet I'm still having my period right on time just like i have for the last 11 months, I don't know do you think there is a chance I might not be able to have children.

Answer
Since you say that your boyfriend didn't pull out on time a couple of times, I infer that he did pull out in time most of the time.  It still seems likely that you would have gotten pregnant having sex twice a day, so there might be a problem.  If there is, it's about equally possible that the problem is with your boyfriend as with you.  Often there is no way to know whether a woman can get pregnant except by getting pregnant.  My guess is that you will be able to have children, but it's very hard to know for sure.  I would suggest that if you don't want to be pregnant, it would be better to use some good method of birth control.  It does take the average normal couple 4-5 months to get pregnant, so maybe you've just been lucky.
