Birth Control Pills & Diarrhea: Understanding Your Risk

I have been taking birth control pills (for the first time) for almost 3 weeks. I recently had sex on Saturday. However, on Tues (or Wed - not sure which day) I got sick with Diarrhea. I got sick about an hour or so after taking my scheduled pill. I didn't take another pill though. And continued taking my scheduled pill each day through today. Is that ok? I guess technically I got "rid of" my birth control Tues/Wed..so should I have taken another? Could I have gotten pregnant now? What should I do in that situation next time? Should I have used a condom? Please help. I'm just wondering and worrying. Thank you.

Sex and worry go together, you should know that by now.  An hour after taking your pill is enough time to absorb it.  No Birth control is 100% but I don't think you need to worry about this particular incident causing you problems.  It is always a good idea to use a condom since no one knows what their risk really is.
