Delayed Period After Stopping Birth Control: What to Expect?

hey norman, thanks for taking time to advise me..well basically i was on microgyn 30 for about 8days then i decided to stop taking them on the 8th day...my normal period before the pill taking would have been due yesterday however it hasent come and i am a bit worried as i have had unprotected sex maybe 5 times between the time i stopped the pill and now..i was just wondering as i took the pill for a couple days would that make my period a bit late..?? or should i have got it normal time? and in that case do you think i may need to test for pregnancy..??
i also had the 3 day withdrawlbleed but that doesnt mean i cant be pregnant does it..??

Hi Jasmine,
I think your period may be late because of taking the pill for 8 days.  However, since you've been having unprotected sex since then, pregnancy is certainly possible.  I would probably start counting from when you stopped the pill as far as when to expect your period (about 4 weeks from then, maybe more).  If you don't want to be pregnant, some kind of birth control would be advisable.
