Heavy Bleeding & Clots After Abortion: What to Do?

Hi,

About 2 months ago i had an abortion(surgicial)done and about 1 week after the procedure i started having heavy bleeding and i was passing clots. the clots was about a quater size at first and as the hour pass i started passing even bigger clots.i even called a 24 hour nurse on staff at the time to see if i should go see my doctor and her reply was......."oh, don't worry it's normal to pass some clots after your abortion." just go back to sleep and it well stop!......ok, so that's what i did......about 40 mins after i went to sleep....i woke up b/c i had soke the bed and i ran to the bathroom.....i went into the tub b/c i was bleeding so much and the clots wouldn't stop coming....at this point on i was feeling light headed,weak to my kness and my husband came in time(thank god)and he rushed me to the hospital.....right, away the doctors hooked me up to the IV to give me blood......then, later on they told my husband that if i never came in i would of been dead......i just want to know what happen durning the surgicial abortion i had done on me?.....and why did i get infected by it>?.....and does this happen alot to other women out there?....and main ?....can i still have kids in the future?.....please get back to me asap!....for i'am feeling like i have been violated!

these really exceptional dramatic events took place more than six weeks ago.So I think that in the meantime you fully recovered. This type of complication is rare After loosing a certain amount of blood, there often is a clotting problem,
which makes bleeding worse.
Now. I was not there, so I cannot give a reasonable answer to what occurred. Bests seems to me to ask the doctor who did the intervention. If your periods tart to be normal and regular agin, which may take some time, you can be pregnant again. NO WORRY ABOUT THAT.
