Emergency Contraception After Abortion: Can the Morning-After Pill Help?

hi i had had an abortion done on DEC,27,07 i then had sex Jan,17,08. my partner said he used a condom but i still was not sure so with in an hour after having sex i got the morning after pill i know that its easy to become pregnant after an abortion but could the morning after pill help at all even though im so fertile rite now? and PS i have itchy breast and my nipples are erect and the little pimple like things around them are erect to. i remember when i was pregnant it was like that could that mean im pregnant again or can it be a side erect from the morning after pill?"

Dear Kim,
It sounds like you did everything right, so it would be unlikely that you are pregnant again.  Using a condom and then the morning after pill would be highly effective to prevent pregnancy.  Your breast symptoms may still be from the original pregnancy.  Breast symptoms sometimes don't go away 1-2 months after an abortion.  The morning after pill doesn't usually cause breast symptoms.
