QuestionHi. I had an aspiration procedure done in November. After that, my periods were pretty normal in time, the flow varied--one month was really light, the next was pretty moderate, however, this month I haven't gotten it at all. I am on the pill, and i am having the symptoms of my period...cramps, change in discharge. it basically feels like i should be bleeding but I am not. I am about 2.5 weeks late now, and have taken 2 at home tests, 1 week apart, both came back negative. Please help me, I'm scared...
AnswerDear Dana,
As long as your pregnancy tests are normal, there is nothing to worry about. The delayed period is most likely from the pill you are taking, rather than the aspiration procedure. There is no medical problem with having missed or light periods on the pill, but if it bothers you, you can always call your gynecologist and switch to a different pill that will give you a more normal period.
I hope this is helpful,
