yes the emergency contraception pill can cause irregular bleeding.
I do not think you are having a miscarriage if you are thinking this. This is not how the pill works. It sounds like your period arrived a couple weeks early; the bleeding may not last as long as a period.
Call your doctor though, just to keep them informed and see if there are any other things you should expect from the pill.
