QuestionI recently had an abortion. I have a pre existing medical condition that would make it very difficult and possibly dangerous for me to give birth. I didn't know I was pregnant until after a started getting severe cramps. I went to the hospital and found that I was pregnant and that it wasn't developing properly and that it was looking like miscarriage. I made the choice to get an abortion. I didn't want to risk my health or the health of a child. I just felt that it was the right choice. I came across this website and decided to ask your opinion.

I think it comes down to trusting God. Do we believe the report of the doctors or do we believe the report of the Lord? Jesus Christ is the healer. He provided healing on the cross for us 2000 years ago. It's our choice as born again believers to trust Him and to receive that healing.
Now, having said that, you need to understand that God forgives us. He has given us free will in this life and we make choices on a daily basis. Sometimes the choices are not the correct ones. But no matter what choices we make, if we come to him with a heart of repentance, He is willing to forive us and to set us free from the guilt.
If you are struggling with your choice in your heart, lay it before the Father and talk to Him. Tell Him that you are sorry for not trusting and believing in Him for healing. Ask for His forgiveness for the abortion. Then rest assured that He has forgiven you and that your baby is in heaven with God. Now move on in faith and trust Him now for the healing of your body so that you can someday have children again.

Healing Confession
