There is no such thing as a "best alternative abortion method". Abortion is dangerous and could kill you. It can also cause a good many other serious problems, including rendering you paralyzed or unable to communicate. It can cause serious damage to your reproductive system, so that you will be unable to have a normal pregnancy in the future. The incidence of serious damage to the reproductive system is about 35%. Abortion increases the chances of miscarriage or extreme prematurity by about 400%, and extreme prematurity is a leading cause of cerebral palsy. It can cause you to become sterile, or prone to tubal pregnancy. Tubal pregnancy is a death sentence for the baby, and threatens the life of the mother (emergency surgery is required). If you have never had a child, it can make you much more susceptible to breast cancer, and if you have a history of breast cancer in your family, studies show that having breast cancer is a certainty. This is a virulent form that kills 1/4 of the women who get it. Abortion can also cause harm to other organs, or infection, or even sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV (because many abortionists do not sterilize their instruments properly, if at all). This is only a small part of the possibilities.
Abortion also increases the risk a woman will die a violent death in the year following. It could be the result of taking chances (and getting into an accident), drug or alcohol abuse, suicide, and homicide. The chance of committing suicide is about 3 1/2 times what it would be if the woman carried to term. The overall all-cause risk is increased for the following eight years. I have been through helping keep a woman from committing suicide after her abortion, and I was never so scared in my entire life! Abortion can change your personality so that you no longer have self respect, or so you stop feeling emotion, and it can cause a lot of other emotional problems as well.
