Post-Abortion D&C Complications: Heavy Bleeding & Concerns

Hi im amanda, On january 10th I had a surgical abortion. Bleeding normal for about 3 to 4 weeks then one day while working it got extremely heavy non stop and passing large amounts of clots. I was rushed to the ER and was told i had left over tissue and soon after had a D&C surgery. This was Feb. 14th, after the surgery ive been bleeding everyday, once in a while passing small clots. Ive been bleeding since jan 10th and i feel like something STILL is wrong! Is it normal for me to still be bleeding? Did the D&C not work well either?

Yes, I would suggest that you be concerned and find some help about this. Perhaps you should go to your regular doctor or an emergency clinic. I'm not sure if I would recommend that you go back to your original abortion provider. In my opinion, it is dangerous to have bleeding for so long. It can cause anemia or other problems.
