Abortion Complications: Seeking Information and Support
Questionam 17 years old and i had an abortion on June 12,2008 and when i went to the abortion clinic they told me i was 13 weeks pregnant but my last period started April 1 and ended April 5.how was it possible that i was 13 weeks if i made count and it turns for me to have been 10 weeks.so after they did the surgical abortion on me, 3 days later on Sunday i started to feel really bad pain that i couldn't handle and my blood came down so fast and i was letting out a lot of blood clots so i was rush to the hospital that day i was told that my uterus was swollen and i was given lots of medicine. One of the doctors told me that i hadn't been th first where an abortion doctor lies about how far along i am in the pregnancy just so they can charge me more.Is it normal for me to experience these symptoms. Can i sue them for lying to me about how far along i was in my pregnancy.
AnswerHi Elizabeth,
I'm not a medical doctor but I would calculate about 12 weeks at the time you had the abortion. I can't say but I have heard that, too, that abortionists say that you are farther along so they can charge more money. But I can't prove that. You would have to talk to a lawyer to get advice from someone who is an expert in law. I don't think anything about abortion is normal but it doesn't sound like you should have had as much bleeding as you did. Please don't ever get an abortion again. Please practice abstinence so you don't have to worry about pregnancy and/or sexually transmitted diseases. I would like to hear from you privately so we can talk more. Also, I am a post abortion counselor if you have any mental, spiritual or psychological side effects from your abortion.
Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
