I had severe stomach pain and dizziness and also the feeling that im pregnant so I did home preg test at home and it showed that I was pregnant. But the pain was unbearable so I went to doctor(by travelling 4 hrs). She gave me injection for nausea and asked for sonography.Which concluded that I was 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant.I wanted to quit as soon as possible so she provided me with the medicine. On the same day i.e. 14 july 2010, I took 3 tablets of mifepristone and again travelled back home, pain was still there. after 24 hrs I took 2 tablets of Misoprostol. Within few hrs, I started bleeding heavily. The doctor didnt inform about anything at all, just that there will be pain and heavy bleeding. It was 12 at night, and I was bleeding heavily with clots. I was so afraid as I was not told about anything and didnt had anybody except my husband who was as unaware as me. At 3 am I called up doctor, she said this will happen so dont worry. But to tell u the truth it was horrible. The next day I took injection for antiD as Im o negetive and my husband is B positive. Still Im very weak but not bleeding much. Now my doctor said that no need to confirm that I have aborted and asked me to wait for the next period, but Im worried so I did preg test at home and it came positive. What should I do to check if abortion is complete?

What worries me is that you might have a tubal pregnancy. Since the doctor did a sonogram, she may have concluded that this isn't the case. Tubal pregnancy is a life threatening condition that requires immediate surgery. Sometimes they'll give these pills to try to flush out the baby rather than doing surgery, so that may be why she gave you the pills. It does work sometimes. Do you still have the pain? Please give her a call and ask her if she has ruled out tubal pregnancy.
If she has, then you will just need to wait and see if you have a period. You can also take a pregnancy test about once a week, and if it shows weakening signs, you will know that the abortion was effective. If you continue to have adverse symptoms, there may be the possibility that there is material left behind, and you will need further care.
When did you take the Misoprostol? How did you take it? If you took it in the vagina, you need to be tested for Clostridium sordellii. If you have this in your body, you should be given immediate aggressive care to save your life. This can cause toxic shock syndrome, which kills within hours. I am not aware of any woman who was able to survive once symptoms start. If you didn't take these pills in the vagina, it's not a problem as far as I know.
Keep an eye on the bleeding. Make sure you get some red hot peppers in your food on a regular basis. If the bleeding increases, or if you still have symptoms or pain, call the doctor again. Don't give up until you know you are all right.
