QuestionQUESTION: I had just recently got an abortion on a thursday, the doctors said not to have sex 2 weeks after. But that only lasted 3 days.. I don't know if this can affect much, but the day after i've been in really bad pain, and bleeding heavier than a day ago.. I don't know what to do.. Is this bad?
ANSWER: Hello, Carli,
I'd say that bad pain is bad. Did you have a pill abortion or a surgical abortion?
If you had a pill abortion, this is not uncommon. Also, however, it is difficult to impossible to stop the pain, and it could cause damage to your uterus. You should see a doctor about this. Also, watch the bleeding, because a woman can bleed to death after any abortion. If it gets heavy, get immediate medical attention. In the meantime, if you can eat spicy food with red hot peppers, this may help, and also you can take cayenne as a supplement.
If you had a surgical abortion, it sounds to me like they injured you. Again, see a doctor as soon as possible.
It sounds like you knocked something loose with sexual activity. At least that's the way it looks to me. But I think the best thing to do is see a doctor, because nobody can really tell you anything over the internet. Don't go back to the person who provided the abortion. Find someone else. The people involved in your abortion can't be trusted, because they won't want to admit they harmed you.
If you're not married, give some serious thought to refraining from sex so you won't have to face abortion again. Abortion is dangerous, so it is not good to have more than one. Please let me know what you find out, and please take care of yourself and don't take any more chances.
---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------
QUESTION: Hey, it's me again, just a follow up from last time, thanks again for your advice, it helped alot, i had made a doctors appt about a week ago from now, and he just gave me perscription just to take away any infection coming my way if it was. I had taken them all. But, i've still been bleeding, and bleeding like black.. No more blood clots though.. Me and my boyfriend had sex on the dead line of when the doctors said to. Ever since today, i'm very red down there, and it like burns, and i'm just nervous... Is this normal? or..
AnswerHello, Carli,
It's good to hear from you again. And you're welcome.
The only problem with anything the doctor gave you for infection is that it won't address anything but bacteria. Viruses, fungus, and other such things don't respond to antibiotics.
You might consider taking Vitamin D3. Here are some articles about it:

Vitamin D3 is a rather universal substance for preventing and curing all kinds of infections. In a case where a person wants to prevent or cure an acute infection, she can take 50,000 units a day for a few days. It is possible to overdose on Vitamin D3, so they recommend you get your blood tested. A short course such as this probably won't cause much of a problem. I get my Vitamin D3 by putting tablets under my tongue. I get them from Superior Source. I have found this for sale in Whole Foods markets and my local farmers' markets. I don't know if you have Whole Foods in Canada; they are in various places in the States. I'm sure you could get it online, too, but check around, because getting it online will take several days. Another good product is colloidal silver, which is also readily available in health food stores. They recommend taking that for 10 days. This is good for viruses.
I am concerned because you said your bleeding is black. That sounds like a possible infection, and you really should have it checked out right away. Old blood would be dark brown.
I mentioned before you might be well advised not to have sex for the time being. When you have an abortion, that will make you more susceptible to infections, including sexually transmitted diseases. I recommend you have your doctor do tests for the various STDs. The redness and burning sound like there is a problem as well, and could be a symptom of an STD. If your boyfriend has ever had sex with anyone else, you could get an STD from sex, or you could even have gotten one from the abortion itself, if it was a surgical abortion. I have found that bentonite in a semi-liquid form, taken about a tsp or a Tbsp, can also attack viruses, but in my experience, you have to take it as soon as you notice symptoms for it to work well.
If you had a pill abortion, you could have some leftover tissue, which could explain the black discharge. Obviously, this also poses a risk.
You are at risk for breast cancer while you are still young, as a result of having had an abortion. A maintenance dose of Vitamin D3 may help prevent this. A maintenance dose would be about 5000 IU a day, but you should still have your blood tested occasionally to make sure it's the right dose.
Don't necessarily expect that your doctor will be fully aware of all the different ways that you can deal with the possibility of infection. Do some research online. But if you want to stay healthy, you will have to be more careful, and stop taking risks, and you will have to find a better way to improve your immune system.
Good luck, and let me know what you find out.
