Post-Abortion Cramping After 2 Months: Causes & When to Worry

I had a surgical abortion at 17 weeks on april 12th and everyday since then i have been cramping. Its been almost 2 months,.why is this happening?? I also have not had my period yet. I went for my 2 weeks check up and all my doc did was ask if i was bleeding, had a fever etc..

Hi Adrienne,
Sometimes there are small rests in the uterus after the abortion.
Usually they come out after a while with some cramping.
Too long cramping is not a good sign.
At the check up the doc should have made an ultrasound to be sure.
Call him/her to make an appointment for that.
