i had an abortion feb 09 now i want to get pregnant and heard that it can take years to get pregnant. so how long does it take to become pregnant after an abortion

Hi Michelle,
the abortion one year ago will not influence your fertility if performed in a medical setting.
Doctors do not interfere if you did not try for at least two years to get pregnant.
On the oher hand there is an ovulation already 8-10 days after the abortion, and some women get
pregnant than.
After 8 years of trying I would suggest you to go for a fertility check.
Make sure that your partner is fertile first. Easier and cheaper.
