Irregular Periods After Abortion: What to Expect

hello,

i am 24 years old.
i had an abortion the month of march 2009. i had what i thought was my first regular period after the abortion, on April 17, 2009. it is now march 27, 2009 and i have not had the start of another period. i am worried something may be wrong. is it normal to skip a period after a surgical abortion. is there something blocking? help......

Thanks for your question. Yes, it's possible and probably common for your period to be abnormal after an abortion. It's also possible if you have been sexually active for you to be pregnant again. Did you have your post abortion checkup?
