How to Whiten Yellow Nail Tips Naturally (Without Manicure)

I have recently stopped biting my nails and they are growing beautifully, with one exception...the tips of my nails are yellowish. A friend of mine tells me it's because of the nail polish remover cuses discoloration.
 My Question is how do i get my nails tips whiter with out a french tip manicure?

There are several nail whitener in the market, unfortunatly i have no experience in using them to be able to recommend but youcan try. Another thing you can do is buff them with a 3-way buffer, this will probably remove the yellowish layer.
