QuestionI hit my artificial nail and it has pulled my natural almost completely off..tried to remove artificial nail with remover, quite painful burning
Answeroh my, must be very sore!
Well, I suggest seeking your physician for an appointment, depending on the degree of soreness, you do not want infection so be sure to wrap it well until you see your DR.PREFERIBLY WITH A NON ABSORBANT MATERIAL, SUCH AS A PLASTIC TAPE OVER THE BANDAID, THEY USE THIS IN HOSPITAL TO HOL DOWN IV'S, ETC.... CLEAR SQUARE MATERIAL'S/PLASTIC, WITH A VERY STICKY BACKING, YOU PEEL AWAY. THEY ARE EXCELLENT FOR THIS TYPE OF WRAP.
Also, your nail plate will grow back and you can actually put gel/acrylic is harsher, so i will recommend gel as its not as harsd as the traditional liquid and powder acrylic that is plcaed on the nail or the tip used for enhancement services. you will have to see a salon or your nail tech for this service. Also hot glue, just put glue on on a warm setting.
This will also work until you see your DR as well. place the glue on top of the nail bed so cover the bed so the nerves etc. are not exposed, this is where the pain is coming from. leave about 1/16" of an inch around the cuticle area, this is where the nail growth will restart.
IF you still have your nail that was ripped off, place it on the nail bed first then place either the glue or gel over top of it, it will at least look natural with the gel, maybe ot with the glue, apply a thin layer, try it and then re-apply if necessary. Your nail will take a month or so to grown back in, the growth also depends on your person, your age, health, etc.... the younf\ger and more active, the less bad habits we hold and the healthier we are the faster our appendages will grow.
Best wishes, I hope you see your DR. soon, Please let me know how you made out with my suggestions dear.
