Garlic Nail Hardener: Fresh vs. Jarred - Does It Matter?
QuestionHello. I have been reading some articles about using garlic as a nail hardener. Most article suggest using a product that is already enhanced with garlic. However, I did read an article about making your own where you just get clear nail polish and put minced garlic in the bottle. My question is would this work just as well with minced garlic that comes in a spice jar, or does the garlic need to be fresh from the produce section? I have garlic, but it is in a spice jar and is dried out. I've tried putting some in a nail polish bottle and it the polish definitely smells like garlic. So I guess I need to know if that will be just as effective as if I had used fresh garlic. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
AnswerDear Yolanda,
The best thing is to rub some fresh garlic on your nail bed every two-three days. Dried garlic is ineffective and mixed with clear nail polish can become toxic (where on earth these people studied chemistry and suggest stuff like that!!!!!!!!!!)
Either use some ready made product or let Mother Earth do her job!!!
Have a nice day!
