QuestionHi Sylvia, I am a nail tech in australia and have been using a brisa gel curing machine but am concerned because i have been told the ibd 3000 is more useful for my needs because it also dries nail polish,as it was very expensive i would like your opinion on whether i should also buy the ibd machine. I am also having huge problems creating a smile line with either the acrylic or nail polish is there any secret to doing it,please do not say with practice as thats the only answer i seem to get and practicing on clients is bad for my business as they are paying to have a professional job done Please, please help me as i have been to many workshops and still can not get the smile line looking good Regards
AnswerDear Sandra,
I don't think the Brisa machine is a bad machine, i never worked with it but i am sure it's good enough. Remember that you always replace your bulbs after 3000hr. There is no diffirents in the light but with old bulbs the gel will not cure.
The IBD 3000 or 5000 is a very good 2 hands light and yes also for nailpolish.
About your smileline, that is the biggest problem for a lot of technicians. You can not practice on your clients but you can practice on a form or tip. I don't know the brand you use but for EzFlow A-Polymer Powder we take a ratio of 2 liquid / 1 powder make a big ball, place it on the form, quickly dry your brush and pad softly with the belly of your brush, make the sidewalls sharp, push your brush in the centre of the smile line and make it sharp, brush on top to make the color nice white.
Place two small balls at the side to make the smileline higher.
Dear Sandra it is very difficult to explaine a smileline on paper but i hope it will help you a little bit.
Greetings
