Acrylic Nails: Brown Spot Under Nail - Bruise or Infection?

I've had my acrylic nails for less than 4 months.  Since then I've had 2 lift off.  I spotted a brown/black spot under my natural nail and the technician said it was bruising.  Now the 2nd broken one has the same condition.  I  think I would remember bruising my fingers.  Should I wait to have the acrylic reapplied?  Shoud I treat it somehow?

It can't be fungus but it can be bacterial growth. If it is you can't treat it, but your technician should. This happens because the nail lifted, and there is moisture traped inside, to treat it the lifted acrylic should be removed, the nail should be didinfected and tehn new acrylic can be applied, sometimes this leaves a bit of coloring on the nail that doesn't come out but will eventually grow out. So discuss this possibility with with nail technician.
