Questioni recently have been looking into getting el nails because i was a nail biter and my nails are very weak (exceptmy thumb nails which are extremely hard). i find that when my nails start to get long they break off. can you recommend a type of nail that would be best?
Answer
Well Gillian, that all depends on the type of person! If you are or were a nail biter, you might have to limit yourself to what nails you can start with. My favorite type of nails period, is Creative Acrylic Custom Blended. Most likely if you where or are a biter, your nails are going to need some time for recovery, before they look their best. You could start with a clear tip and a custom blended french manicure look. If your interested in French nails. Custom blending is when a Nail Tech customizes the nail colors to your natural skin tone so it looks "extra" natural. This may be a little more expensive than a normal set, maybe $5. But this way you won't have to deal with short looking nail beds, and funny looking smile lines. If you are actively biting your nails and or cuticles, you need to stop and let your skin heal, before you get them done, or you can risk overexposure to the product or an infection. I like acrylic for newcomers, it is one of the more affordable forms of artificial nails, but is also easily removable. If you do not like your nails, please do not rip them off, have them soaked off by a pro.
If you are wondering, where you can go to find a Tech who can do this. Let me know what town you will be going to and I can find a Technician who specializes in this.
But if you really hate this idea you can do without the custom blending and go with regular pinks and whites. Any if your unsure about how to explain it to a Tech, just print this off.
Have Fun & Good Luck!
