Acrylic Nails Sticky After Sunscreen? Causes & Solutions
QuestionI had acrylic nails applied a week ago. I am having a problem with them getting sticky (like tape) after I have applied sunscreen to my children. I have washed my hands numerous times with soap and water to remove any residue and it does not come off. I have even resorted to using light weight steel wool, but all this does is dull the finish. Is the acrylic breaking down or reacting with the sunscreen, or is this typical? What else can/should I be avoiding with acrylic nails that would cause more problems? How should I be taking care of them?
Thank you,
Jennifer
AnswerI'm sorry but i never heard about a similar thing ocorring, maibe you should check with your nail technician and see if she has had any similar case. Perhaps it is something related to the type of product she is using. Or peharps it is something is the sunscreen that is working like a solvent on the acrylics. Try to see in the ingredients if it contains acetone or alchool of any type.
