Exploring a New Acrylic Nail Application Technique

Question
Hello-
I used to get acyrilic nail- but stopped for various reasons. Recently I went to
a "walk in"  nail salon(nothing super out of the odinary), when I was in NYC
recently,  and had acrylics put back on.
The technique they used was wonderful-and not available where I live.
The covered the nail with what looked like a primer-or glue, then a gell
adhesive"polish", dipped the whole finger twice( quickly) into a jar of acrylic
powder-tapped the eccess off-sealed the powder with the glue and gell
again-buffed and painted.
They a thin and beatiful-no dremel was needed-only sanding boards.
They are the best acrylic nails I have ever had.
I would like to order  profeesional quality supplies and try to do them at
home-but do not know what to get or what the technique is called-as none of
the salons in my home town offer anything like it.
Can you help me? do you know this technique?
Thank you -
Rebecca

Answer
Hi Rebecca(:

Yes this is actually an acrylic nail but a dip method.Star nails and Backscratchers make really easy to follow systems for this method. You can usually find them at any beauty supply outlet. It is called an acrylic dip system. Good Luck.
