White Tips vs. Airbrush White: Longevity & Salon Performance
QuestionIs it me or does the white tip airbrush method seem to start wearing off within a few days, causing me to feel I need to return to the salon for a touch up sooner than it would seem necessary? My sister introduced me to white tips when I first started almost a year ago - I think they seemed to be better - nothing to "wear off". That was out of state while on vacation; when I returned home and started going to a salon here, they seem to be more inclined to use the airbrush method over white tips. I know they have the white tips there - I did observe a lady having them applied just last week. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
AnswerDear Char,
Airbrushing or a polished french, when not done properly, nor sealed with a good sealer will chip away.
White tips are good to start with BUT it's better to find a technician who is well trained and can apply a 'permanent french' using white acrylic powder or a french white gel in the case of UV Gel. A permanent french will never chip away, and will stay true from one appointment to another.
To learn more on how to choose a good technician, and how to avoid poorly trained ones or salons that are "NSS", please see this page on my site: http://ongles-chez-victoria.tripod.com/victoriasnails/id18.html
I hope this helps
