QuestionI have two gold settings (and diamonds that are family) and want to give to my daughter. She likes white gold. Can the gold be turned into white gold? I hope this is not a stupid question.
AnswerNot at all,There are two options,have a white gold ring made,using the original as model,to make a rubber mold,or bring to a jeweler to have ring rhodium plated.All white gold is rhodium plated,to make it very white looking anyway.(white gold metal not very white)The plating will wear off in about a year with normal wear,but hey,thats when you bring back to rhodium plate again.
