QuestionIs the sculptured nail supposed to come all the way around the top of the natural nail? I can see exposed natural nail on one side of the sculptured & I dom't likethe way it looks.
Also, my nails used to last about 3-4 weeks, now I am lucky if they last 1-2.
AnswerYES! You don't want both sides of your free edge covered by product, this puts you at risk of overexposure to uncured product (when the liquid and powder-AKA ACRYLIC- is still wet, and it takes 24 hours to fully cure), and is annoying, to say the least, when it grows out, with a shelf under the nail to pick at.
And I am unsure about what you mean by not lasting- do you mean how long you can go between rebalancing (AKA FILL) appointments? You really should not ever go longer than 3 weeks, unless you are one of that small percentage whose nails grow extremely slow, but they should just grow out, not fall apart. That would be the fault of the tech, unless you are abnormally hard on the enhancements themselves. If they are not applied properly, and rebalanced properly, they WON'T last, and the enhancements will break down.
Let me know if you need a referral for a good tech that will give you lasting results. :) And try not to be bothered by seeing your natural nail underneath- it shows you just how healthy your nails are, or are NOT. :)
