QuestionIn Houston, I could have the French tip replaced every 4-6 weeks without removing the entire artificial base. They called the nails "Solar Nails" and the tip replacement "Rebalancing". Now I live in Phoenix and no one knows this "rebalancing" procedure. When the tip grows out, I have to soak and file the entire nail, or have it pried off, which is very uncomfortable. My other alternative is to paint the tip, or use a white powder(which costs as much as a new set). Is there some way to educate my manicurist in the rebalancing technique?
AnswerNope.

The best thing to do is to find a better experienced tech.
Now I want to make sure that the "Solar nails" you recieved were in fact the Creative Nail Design liquid and powder product called "Solarnail." This professional product is just a type of monomer designed to be used on more sensitive clients, and has nothing to do with pink and white application.
Now a rebalance is exactly what I refer to as a "Fill," because I never merely fill in the new growth of the nail, I always REBALANCE the nail, replacing the white of the nail, and the apex, or stress area for overall toughness of the enhancement.
If you need a referral in your area, please email me privately and I will be happy to assist you :)
