Mixing Gel Nail Products: Compatibility & Application

Question
Can i actually mix a different brands of gel product to do a set of gel nail?
For example: EZ-Flow pink gel  follow by NSI  White gel  follow by IBD clear
gel .  Or even like IBD normal clear gel application , follow by IBD colour soak
off gel , Is this possible to remove by the soak off solution or i will still need
to file them off ?  And how about if it is Acrylic powder, Can i mix a few
different brands then top it with Gel . Are they still possible to be remove by
soak off product? Or do i have to file off the Gel then soak it with Aceton to
remove the acrylic ?

Answer
You CAN DO whatever pleases you, but in general, it is NOT recommended to mix product lines.  You can get breakdown in your service later on, overexposure issues, etc.  Unless you are a lab chemist, it's best to just stick to the basics.

You also will not get any help from each manufacturer concerning their products if you are not following their specifications.

As far as Liquid and Powder (AKA ACRYLIC) being used with gel, that's ok, as long as the strength of each is the same. For example, Brisa Gel by CND utilizes the same technology as CND Retention+ monomer mixed with Perfect Color Powders.  Hence, you could absolutely build a free edge with liquid and powder, and fill the rest in with sculpting gel.

To remove, you DO have to file off the Gel, then you can soak off the L&P.

Hope this helps! :)
