QuestionHi everyone. I'm getting married in Vegas next month and I'm looking for a place that does a good job with UV gel enhancement. I can't stand the thick curvy look of acrylic nails--don't they look like the talons of birds of prey. Can anyone recommend a good salon or technician in Vegas that specializes in UV gel enhancement for nails?

Secondly: I am deeply saddened to hear that your experience with acrylic nails has left you with such a negative image in your mind. Acrylic is a fabulous medium for sculpting nail enhancements and it's such a shame that so many people blame the product for the artist's lack of talent. Believe me, gel can be just as ugly as any acrylic you have seen! What you need is a skilled nail tech!
Third: Check out Beautytech.info's salon locator for a good nail tech in Vegas. Another great resource actually happens to be Myspace-- you can search the area and many of the techs who have Myspace pages post lots of pictures of their work on their pages so that you get a great idea of what kind of work they do. Just remember that the styles that are hot in Vegas might not be what you're looking for! it might be best to get your nails done locally before you leave.
