QuestionHi, sorry for my bad english, i hope you can help me still.
I'm 26, and I'm breaking out like crazy since last year, november i think. It's been non stop, a couple of pimples come out and just when they're about to clear, I start to break out again, it's never ending, so frustrating! I guess it's stress or bad food so i'm trying to relax and I'm not eating any kind of junk food, but my skin still looks realy bad, specially on the chin and around my lips. My skin is mixed but mostly oily.
If you know some way to make it better please help me.
AnswerHello Alexandra,
There's no magical product that will clear your skin instantly and from what you're telling me, I strongly suspect stress and bad diet might be what drove your skin into this breakout nightmare (and also maybe the skin products you're using now. But by working WITH your skin instead of against it, you can get the tone and radiance of your dream. Be patient, smart, thorough and disciplined.
There are several factors which can trigger these breakouts and here are a few examples:
- you say you stopped junk foods, but that's not enough: you need fresh healthy green foods, plenty of water and green tea
- your body might be going through some hormonal changes which have a strong impact on your whole body and that includes your skin, so you may want to take supplements like black currant, borage or primrose oils (or a combination) to help your body its natural balance
- if you're really stressed, I suggest you try some soothing and supportive herbal supplements like this:

This won't make you sleepy, but it will help your nervous system to relax
- if you're taking prescription or OTC drugs regularly, they may trigger side effects like your breakouts. Talk to your doctor about it so that he finds the right prescription that will be well tolerated by your body.
However, the bottom line is that you also need to DETOX while you're taking care of your skin topically. You can find more on detox here:

I would also recommend that you take care of your skin externally, with good natural products. Try to find Lavender floral water as a facial cleanser:

or something like this natural anti-acne lotion:

and a good organic non comedogenic moisturizer. Please NEVER try to strip all the sebum (oily film) off your face: it will always make things worse and remember that even oily skin needs a bit of moisturizer. I would recommend something like this:

You should also exfoliate with a gentle non abrasive exfoliant twice a week and do facial masks with green clay twice-three time a week.
You can get tips on how to heal your breakouts in this article:

Doing the Green Clay mask 2 or 3 times a week will greatly improve your skin. Use a tiny bit of Wild Musk Rose oil or Jojoba oil to moisturize and stay away from anything chemical. Finally, stay away from any foundation and if you want to use a concealer, only use an organic one.
Unless you have a strong skin genetic problem, following my suggestions will clear your skin, just be patient. Because the psychological side of beauty is so important, while your skin is healing these breakouts, please remember that you're not your skin, you're the person inside the skin: a good and beautiful person going through something big.
I know this is a lot, but you asked me to help you so I'm giving you the full answer so that you can really heal this.
I wish you the best of luck.
I hope you find this answer helpful.
Have a beautiful day,
Take good care
